Why it matters

Risk engineering has always been about helping clients prevent losses before they happen.

But traditional approaches can be limited. A risk engineer visits a site, identifies hazards, prepares a report, and sends recommendations through the usual channels. The problem is that a written report does not always make the risk feel real.

That is where immersive technology becomes interesting.

By using augmented reality, Generali GC&C can help clients see how a potential incident could happen inside their own environment. By using virtual reality, the business can train risk engineers in more consistent, scalable and realistic ways, without always relying on expensive site visits or the availability of senior engineers.

This is not innovation for the sake of a shiny new tool.

It is about making risk more visible, training more effective, and prevention more practical.
