Yolt overview

Yolt provides a simple way to manage money from multiple UK bank accounts in one single app.

Set up by Dutch banking giant ING, the app gathers information on a customer’s accounts to predict future spending, giving users a “smart balance” – forecasting what a user would have left available to spend or save after forthcoming credit card and household bills are taken away. The app also offers a spending history chart, international money transfers and energy comparison services.

Yolt launched in the UK on June 1st, 2017 . The venture hit 100k users by the end of that same year, whilst their employee numbers grew from 5 to 50.

In September 2018 Yolt partnered with life insurance specialist Anorak to offer its users free advice. In September 2019, the two companies phased out the partnership on amicable terms due to a shifting of priorities. Yolt’s current partners include MoneySuperMarket, Homelyfe, Wealthify and PensionBee.

In June 2019 Yolt announced it had over 900,000 users across its three markets - the UK, Italy and France. That same month, it also partnered with insurance platform Simplesurance and savings marketplace Raisin.
