Oviva overview

Oviva is a digital health company that helps people with conditions such as obesity, diabetes and food allergies improve their health with medical nutritional therapy from professional dietitians.

Oviva have developed personalised behaviour change programmes that combine its smartphone app and learning portal to support dietitian-led behaviour change for conditions such as type 2 diabetes and complex obesity. It offers both face-to-face sessions and remote support for clients from dietitians via a secure smartphone app. Clients can log meals with photos, record activity and weight with trackers, and ask questions, and their dietitian then provides tailored feedback, support and advice. Oviva's approach aims to enable patients to achieve a better health outcome without having to attend clinic appointments, whilst saving health systems significant sums by preventing the development of complications related to these health conditions.

In early 2020 Ovivia reported it had treated 90,000 patients from France, Germany, Switzerland, the UAR and the UK across 3 years.

In January 2020 Oviva raised a $21m Series B funding round, led by MTIP. Other investors include Earlybird, AlbionVC, F-Prime Capital, Eight Roads Ventures and Partech. The company stated the new funding will be used to continue the development of its technology, and to expand further across Europe.
