Formerly known as YouToggle before rebranding in 2020, Kudo Insurance is a private car insurer which uses a proprietary smartphone app, as well as sensor data from the customer's smartphone to track and evaluate driver behaviour.
All new customers take a test, where driving behaviour is tracked for a short period; provided the customer passes the test and is judged to be suitable low-risk, they receive a confirmed insurance quote for a full-term policy.
With a fully digital experience, customers can access many features through the mobile app including chat support and policy documentation. Kudo also offers a rewards programme which offers prizes for safe driving - drivers are entered into a monthly prize draw for every perfect journey they complete (no hard braking, harsh acceleration, distractions, etc), with prizes such as phone cases, holidays and dash cams up for grabs.
