HealthJoy overview

HealthJoy is an app that aims to make using healthcare benefits a simpler experience for employees. It does this by integrating with service providers and partners with benefit consultant agencies to make it easier to find and use benefits. In addition to this, the app also leverages an AI-based virtual assistant and healthcare concierges to help with the customer experience.

HealthJoy's services for employers include HealthJoy Rewards, that provides incentives for employees that choose cost-efficient options. For employees, it includes options such as telemedicine and 24/7 access to short-term counselling.

In 2020, that startup reported a monthly login rate of 33%. It also has over 500 employers using its services.

HealthJoy raised a $30m Series C in February 2020, less than a year on from their $12.5m Series B in March 2019.  The company stated the Series C funding would be used to further develop its virtual assistant, add new services, integrate with more partners and aggregate data. It also plans to add 200 employees in 2021, aiming to double its engineering team.

Founded in 2014, HealthJoy is led by founders Doug Morse-Schindler and Justin Holland.
