Bó overview

Bó was a digital bank created by RBS/Natwest, created to challenge the likes of startups Revolut, Monzo and Starling. Six months after launch, the app and connected card service closed down.

Bó focused on money-saving advice, and used its connection to a more traditional model of bank to promote itself.

RBS was reported to have spent over £100m to launch Bó, which it began developing in late 2018.

At the time of closure - April 2020 - the company had 11,000 customers and 150 employees.
