Find out moreBy leveraging unique data analytics algorithms, Valoo was able to estimate the value of items instantaneously. Users were then able to sell, rent or loan their belongings via multiple established online marketplaces, directly via the app.
Valoo announced it was ceasing operations in July 2019.
Formerly know as Cbien, Valoo was primarily an asset management tool that used price estimation technology to value users’ belongings and provide a precise inventory, which can then be shared directly with insurers for more accurate coverage.
Valoo’s online inventory allowed users to store and export pictures, receipts and important information about their assets to their insurer. In 2018, the venture also launched an on-demand insurance offering, enabling users to insure registered items.
Valoo participated in four accelerators since launching in 2013, including MundiLab and Startupbootcamp Insurtech.
