CarDekho

Founded in March 2008 in Gurgaon, India, CarDekho.com was set up as an offspring of IT company, Girnar Software Pvt Ltd. CarDekho today is a member of an extended family constituted by several other similar ventures including BikeDekho.com, PriceDekho.com and more. 

CarDekho.com is an India-based vehicle portal, and helps its users with car research, finance, insurance, used cars and other aspects of car buying and selling. It sells both new and second-hand cars (as well as motorbikes) and has stated it works with around 5k dealerships in India, and retail partnerships with eight vehicle builders.

CarDekho has raised money in a number of funding rounds, most recently adding $20m in August to the $110 million it raised in its Series C funding round from January 2019. Its investors include CapitalG, Ratan Tata and Axis Bank, one of CarDekho's financing partners.

CarDekho claims it has 39m unique monthly visitors to its sites, and 6m app downloads. In 2017-2018 its revenue was $22.8m. As well as its headquarters in India, the company also has portals in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
