Juno overview

Juno launched its services in New York in early 2016. The ride-hailing company marketed itself as the more driver-friendly alternative to Uber, providing their drivers with an equity package to enable them to share in the business's success. Juno closed in November 2019.

Juno was acquired by Tel Aviv-based ride-hailing company Gett Inc in 2017 for $200m. There was controversy surrounding this, as driver's expected to receive a large pay-out from this move due to the equity package promised.

Juno closed its New York operations in November 2019. Juno stated 'misguided regulations' on ride-hailing companies and a focus on Gett's corporate clients were part of the reason for Juno's closure. Gett stated it had formed a partnership with Lyft to enable Gett's corporate clients to access Lyft rides through the Gett app from 2020.
