Find out moreSensely’s avatar and chatbot-based platforms assist insurance plan members and patients with the insurance services and healthcare resources they need, on demand. Sensely provides multi-lingual virtual assistant solutions to insurance companies, pharmaceutical clients and hospital systems globally.
The company’s platform can assist with various functions including underwriting, claims management, symptom checking and medication management, and remote patient monitoring. Its AI platform uses voice-enabled digital avatars, or 'characters' (with a selection to choose from), and can be integrated into a client's existing digital technology platforms.
Through enterprise clients, Sensely is currently deployed in the US, UK, UAE, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Switzerland, Australia, and the Netherlands.
Sensely has taken part in a number of accelerators, including Plug and Play Health, Plug and Play Japan and the Alchemist Accelerator.
In October 2019 the company raised $15m in venture funding led by Aflac Corporate Ventures. The company stated it intended to use the funding to accelerate its commercialisation efforts and scale its platform. Other investors backing Sensely include Silicon Valley Bank, Nippon Life Insurance Company of Japan, Chengwei Capital and Launchpad Digital Health.
In January 2020 Sensely partnered with Swiss Life Global Solutions to help with engagement around health. The company was also part of the InsurTech NY 2020 accelerator program.
In March 2020 Sensely launched a video booking capability within its Ask NHS GP app following the rise in Covid-19 cases worldwide. That same month, Sensely launched a series of customised Covid-19 screening and educational tools with enterprises around the world, integrating them through their avatar and speech-based chat interfaces.
In October 2020, Nippon Life Insurance launched a virtual tool, powered by Sensely, to help train its 45,000 sales reps 24/7 with content on policies and services.
In December 2020 Generali Employee Benefits strategically partnered with Sensely to advance patient interactions through AI, and provide access to virtual health assistants.
In December 2021 Sensely formed a partnership with Thai-based Krungthai-AXA Life Insurance. As part of the agreement, Krungthai-AXA Life will integrate Sensely's symptom checker and voice/chat/avatar interactions on its EMMA by AXA application, which offers its 500k customers access to a range of health services. Krungthai-AXA Life stated they were looking forward to "broadening and deepening the relationship".
In June 2024, Mediktor acquired Senselyfor an undisclosed amount, expanding Mediktor's presence to over 35 countries.
