Yes Health overview

Yes Health is an all-mobile diabetes prevention program. It helps people take charge of their health—and have fun doing it—by developing healthy habits that last a lifetime. People already living with the disease can also use it to successfully manage their symptoms. Its team is consists of physicians, health coaches and engineers that created a high-engagement program that’s low-cost, easy to follow and successful in preventing the onset or worsening of diabetes.

YesHealth automates a user's food reporting by replacing a food list with a simple picture. The startup then uses AI and machine learning to identify the food in the images and transfers the data to relevant healthcare workers and the patients themselves so progress can be tracked. YesHealth also uses an automated messaging system that provides prompts, replacing the need for human consultations and reducing costs and physician's time.

The company has partnered with Blue Shield of California, amongst other healthcare partners. It claims to have tens of thousands of paying members, and reports that on average members lose more than 5% of their starting weight and regularly exercise 150 minutes or more every week.

In April 2020 the company revealed $6 million in Series A funding, led by Khosla Ventures.

It was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Mill Valley, California.
