Vouch have developed proprietary insurance products and risk assessment tools designed specifically for high growth companies. Its tailored products take minutes to activate, and the company works directly with its clients to help them manage and avoid risk.
The company works with various companies, one of which is Ansible Labs, a software development company working to revolutionise how money is moved about.
In Summer 2019, Vouch took part in the Y Combinator program.
At its September launch, Vouch also announced it had raised $24.5m in Series A funding, led by Ribbit Capital and SVB Financial Group, the parent company of Silicon Valley Bank. Y Combinator, Index Ventures and 500 Startups also participated. The money will be used to expand into more states, as well as grow its product offerings and team.
A few months later, in November, Vouch announced it had raised a $45m Series B, led by Y Combinator Continuity. The funding will be used to continue scaling the business.
In September 2021 Vouch announced it had raised $90m, raised over two rounds, after experiencing 7 fold customer growth YoY and doubling its headcount. It also revealed it had established its own authorised insurance carrier, and expanded its product portfolio. Funds gained from Series C raises took its total raise has reached $160m; the company is now backed by Silicon Valley institutions and investors such as Rabbit Capital, Silicon Valley Bank, Combinator, and Index Ventures.
Vouch launched new business insurance coverages for life science startups. The company was attracted to this part of the market because it considers life science to be at a technology inflection point as life science startups digitise their business models and increase investment in AI to accelerate R&D cycles.
During October 2022 the company launched a new product tailored for life sciences startups, offering a suite of exposure-driven coverages to ensure a comprehensive protection from R&D. Later in November the company teamed up with Capsule, a specialist insurance provider to high-growth companies in the UK.
