TeiaCare overview

Italy-based Teicare helps in the healthcare of elderly patients by making care home facilities safer.

Through the use of AI and computer vision, TeiaCare have developed Ancelia, a digital monitoring technology that helps care-givers care for, monitor and track seniors. Ancelia uses a visual sensor which connects to the ceiling of a bedroom, and can monitor, alert and report on movement. The sensor also uses predictive analytics to notify nurses and care-givers of potential injury risks or health deterioration.

In May 2019 TeiaCare was a finalist of the EU-Startups Summit Pitch competition.

In late 2019 TeiaCare raised €1.1m in funding. The funding will be used to accelerate the growth of Ancelia and in the expansion of TeiaCare across Spain, France and the UK.
