Omocom

Omocom (formerly known as Sharin) is a Sweden-based startup that offers short-term micro-insurance policies geared toward the sharing economy. Omocom connects to sharing platforms via API, and can calculate personalised microinsurance policies for each P2P transaction in real-time. The risk is covered by W. R. Berkley.

In October 2019 Omocom partnered with a Sweden-based P2P marketplace app, offering optional insurance for the belongings features. Its premiums range from €2-6, and damages range from €150-€1,000.

Omocom has stated it plans to expand into the Nordics during H1 2020, and move into other markets - including France, Germany and the Netherlands - in H2.

In May 2020 Omocom announced it had raised €3.7min a round led by Inventure and Mustard Seed MAZE. The startup stated the funding would be used to further develop the product, expand into new verticals and enter new markets outside of the Nordics.
